We Bridge the Gap Between AI Innovation and Ethical Accountability
IQEntity exists because the organizations deploying AI fastest are often governing it least. We’re here to change that, with frameworks built from operational experience, not academic theory.
Why IQEntity Exists
Artificial intelligence is transforming every industry, and most organizations aren’t ready for what that means.
Not the technology. The technology is the easy part. What they’re not ready for is the governance, the accountability, the hard questions about who’s responsible when an algorithm makes a decision that affects someone’s livelihood, health, or freedom.
IQEntity was founded by Chris Garrett, a technology executive who spent more than two decades building and running IT operations, security programs, and managed services infrastructure across hundreds of organizations. He didn’t come to AI ethics through philosophy. He came to it through the operations center, watching AI-powered tools make decisions that no one in the room could explain, flag threats that no one could verify, and automate processes that no one had thought to govern.
The gap wasn’t theoretical. It was operational. And it was growing.
IQEntity was created to close that gap, to give organizations the practical frameworks, governance structures, and strategic guidance they need to adopt AI responsibly. Not slowly. Not fearfully. Responsibly.
How We Think About AI Governance
Operational, Not Academic
We don’t publish papers and hope someone reads them. We build governance frameworks that integrate into your existing operations, your change management process, your incident response playbook, your vendor evaluation criteria. Ethics isn’t a department. It’s a design principle.
Challenger Mindset
We teach organizations what they don’t know they don’t know. Most companies believe they’re governing AI because they have a policy document. We show them the difference between compliance theater and actual operational governance, and we help them close the gap.
Cross-Industry Perspective
AI ethics isn’t a technology problem. It’s a business problem, a legal problem, a human problem. Our frameworks are industry-agnostic by design and industry-specific in application, from healthcare diagnostics to financial services to public sector operations.
Leadership
Chris Garrett
Founder & Principal
Chris Garrett is a technology executive with over 20 years of experience leading IT operations, cybersecurity programs, and digital transformation initiatives across managed services, healthcare, finance, government, and education sectors.
As a CIO and CTO, Chris has built and scaled technology operations serving hundreds of organizations, managing everything from security operations centers and infrastructure at scale to compliance programs and vendor ecosystems.
Chris founded IQEntity after recognizing a critical gap in the market: organizations were adopting AI-powered tools at unprecedented speed, but governing those tools with the same rigor they applied to other critical business systems? Almost none of them.
The Ethical Intelligence Alignment Framework
At the core of our advisory practice is the EIAF. Developed from real-world operational experience across multiple industries, the EIAF provides organizations with a structured, measurable approach to AI governance.
Transparency
Can you explain how your AI systems make decisions, to regulators, to customers, to your own team?
Bias Mitigation
Are you actively testing for and correcting bias in your data, your models, and your outcomes?
Explainability
When your AI flags a threat, denies a claim, or recommends an action, can a human understand why?
Privacy
Are you protecting individual rights throughout the AI lifecycle, from training data to production outputs?
Accountability
When something goes wrong, is there a clear chain of responsibility and a process for remediation?
What We Stand For
Integrity Over Optics
We’d rather tell you an uncomfortable truth than sell you a comfortable lie. Real governance requires honesty about where you are today.
Action Over Theory
Frameworks that live in documents don’t protect anyone. We build governance that lives in operations, in the daily decisions your teams make.
Empowerment Over Replacement
Technology should elevate human capability, not eliminate human judgment. We design governance that keeps humans in the loop where it matters most.
Accountability Over Compliance
Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling. We help organizations build AI programs they’re genuinely proud of, not ones they’re merely defending.
